This is the word that stuck with me in my devotion this morning (Isaiah 62). Hephzibah, what does it mean? “My delight is in her”. Wouldn’t it be great if God spoke these words over you and me… “my delight is in you”? What is your name today?
The Good News is that God speaks Hephzibah over us even with our frailties and shortcomings. The crazy reality of God’s amazing grace is that God delights over us not only depending on our “product” or “production”, but on the true desires and intentions of our hearts.
Today’s reflection reminds me of a song I used to sing awhile back, “My Delight”. May we sing the following words with our lives, and hear the song of heaven singing His delight over us as well.
My Delight by Andy Park
Father, You are my portion in this life
And You are my hope and my delight
And I love You
Yes I love You
Lord I love You
My delight
Jesus, You are my treasure in this life
And You are so pure and so kind
And I love You
Yes I love You
Lord I love You
My delight
